课题组主要从临床出发，结合基础，致力于肺部真菌病的诊治和发病机制研究。临床方面，建立了全国肺部真菌病诊治协作组以及华南地区肺部真菌病诊治中心，针对患者制定安全、有效的个体化诊疗方案及医护一体化的定期随访制度，成功诊治了大量的隐球菌病、曲霉病、毛霉病、肺孢子菌肺炎及马尔尼菲篮状菌病、暗色丝孢霉病等少见真菌病。科研方面，依托呼吸疾病国家重点实验室开展了肺部真菌病的流行病学、真菌感染的免疫学和抗真菌药物药理机制等研究。

课题组建立了病原学诊断、肺部真菌病大数据、肺部真菌感染与免疫研究、抗真菌药物药效与机制研究四大平台。主要研究均基于该四大研究平台开展。

一、病原学诊断平台

真菌感染的早期诊断一直是临床的难题。课题组一方面开展了二代宏基因组学（mNGS）和三代纳米孔病原测序的转化应用研究；另一方面通过鞘脂组学等技术挖掘新的生物标志物、利用Crisper技术开发真菌感染新的诊断方法。

二、肺部真菌病大数据平台

在国家呼吸系统疾病临床医学研究中心的协调及广州天鹏计算机科技有限公司的协助下，课题组不但建立了肺部真菌病的大数据平台，还实现了平台的转化应用。

三、肺部真菌感染与免疫研究平台

真菌感染与机体的免疫密切相关，但我们对表观免疫功能正常人群真菌感染的发病机制知之甚微。课题组通过组学技术，从真菌感染与宿主免疫反应的角度阐述发病机制。

四、抗肺部真菌药物药效与机制研究平台

抗真菌治疗是肺部真菌病临床救治成功与否的关键，但现有的抗真菌药物不但价格昂贵，有副作用，且部分已出现耐药。课题组聚焦从传统中药中挖掘有效的抗真菌药物及探索辅助治疗方法，期望能减少抗真菌药物的副作用，缩短疗程，减轻医疗负担。
