主要研究呼吸道RNA病毒的感染致病机制以及抗病毒药物，主要聚焦冠状病毒。具体研究包括冠状病毒非结构蛋白的功能以及在病毒复制和致病中的作用，包括参与病毒RNA加工修饰的蛋白，研发靶向病毒聚合酶和甲基转移酶的抗病毒药物。
