On March 19, a delegation led by academician Li Lanjuan paid a visit to the SKLRD. The delegation was shown around the SKLRD by He Jianxing, the president of Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health and Professor Zhao Jincun, the deputy director of the SKLRD to learn about its development and construction status and its important achievements in the research of Covid-19 prevention and control.

Later, Li Lanjuan had an in-depth exchange with academician Zhong Nanshan on the scientific research and construction of the department of respiratory tract infectious diseases. They said that on the basis of cooperation in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic, both sides would seek further cooperation to make bigger scientific research achievements.
