On November 19, 2016, the “2nd International Forum on Flu and Other Respiratory Tract Virus” was held at the international conference hall of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases and the SKLRD. The forum was attended by dozens of experts and scholars from the US St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Japan Sendai National Medical Institution, Hong Kong University and the SKLRD.

With a theme of the epidemiology, pathogenic mechanism and control strategy of flu and other respiratory tract virus, the forum attracted over 300 scientific researchers and students to participate in the discussion, which promoted the exchanges among the experts and scholars in the research field of respiratory tract virus at home and abroad and was of significant importance to promoting the domestic researches of respiratory tract virus infection.
