SKLRD successfully holds the 12th China Cough Forum and the 13th National Chronic Cough and Difficult Rare Diseases Class

The 12th China Cough Forum and the 13th National Chronic Cough and Difficult Rare Diseases Class were held in Nanchang, a famous historic and cultural city in Jiangxi Province from August 8 to 11, 2019.

This forum adhered to the principle of combining clinical practicality and research frontiers. It set 15 sessions including annual progress in cough research, trachea inflammation examination, study on latest clinical guidelines, cough arising from special causes, rare and difficult diseases, children's cough, special session of traditional Chinese medicine, cough examination and evaluation, etc. A total of 54 special reports were presented. Well-known experts from various disciplines such as respiration, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, digestion, extrathoracic, otolaryngology, basic medicine and environmental hygiene at home and abroad were invited to address special reports. Academician Zhong Nanshan, the founding director of the SKLRD, presided over the opening ceremony, and Professor Lai Kefang of the Chronic Cough Study Group served as Chairman of the forum.


756 clinicians and scholars from 19 provinces across the country participated in the forum, and 12 participants gave oral speeches in the forum. 42 posters were displayed. In order to further strengthen and encourage young scholars to carry out innovative researches, this forum has set up a special research field on cough frontiers to introduce the latest research progress and technology in the field of cough in China, and to display the style and research results of young scholars to its full extent.
