From August 14 to 18, Wang Xinhua, PI of SKLRD and President of Guangzhou Medical University, Lv Jiachun, the dean of the School of International Education and Professor Wang Zhongfang visited the University of Melbourne upon invitation.

Dr. Wang and his team had an informal discussion with James McCluskey, Vice President of the University of Melbourne and Sharon Lewin, President of Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity. The two parties discussed cooperation between the two universities on scientific research, joint training of graduate students and teacher training.

After that, Dr. Wang and his team communicated with Dr. Jeanette Tamplin, an expert from the Department of Music Therapy, University of Melbourne. As the chairman of the Music Therapy Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine, Dr. Wang presented a detailed introduction to the preparation of the Music Therapy Professional Committee and invited experts from the University of Melbourne Music Therapy to actively participate in the activities of the Professional Committee. He also discussed with Roy Robins-Brown, a Professor of University of Melbourne and Chairman of Australian Microbiological Association and his fellows on teaching cooperation, visited Melbourne Pharmaceutical Industrial Park (BIO21 of the University of Melbourne is also a major part of the park), cancer medical center and Walter Eliza Hall medical institute to explore the modes and experience in the transformation of biomedical basic research in colleges and universities.
